Did you ever wonder how a fire company gets into a burning factory when the building is locked? Our client came up with a solution; BCA created the technology.
Context
Our client solved this problem by mounting a lock box outside the building that only the fire company had access to. However, this created another problem: who gets access to the key that opens these boxes. The answer to this was to create a smart box mounted inside the fire truck that would contain a master key to the boxes at the building sites. This smart lock box needed security and needed to identify the person entering the lock box.
Solution
BCA designed the electronics and firmware that would open the box once an identifying code was entered. Unique codes are created and downloaded to the lock box via USB with the BCA designed PC software. As each authorized person accesses the lock box it is logged in the firmware creating a record of each person who has used the master key.
