A fabrication-less IC vendor needed a system designed to evaluate the throughput on a new communications IC.

Context

In order to prove the worth of their new ATM switch fabric IC, our customer needed a circuit board designed that would be able to highlight the products capabilities.

Solution

We created an FPGA based system that would provide high data rate streams to and from the ATM IC. Due to the nature of the system, power supplies and transmission line effects were a significant concern.
